CACR 20th Anniversary Leadership Awards Call for Nominations and Submissions In recognition of CACR’s 20th Anniversary, the Board of Directors would like to recognize some outstanding members of the Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation. Nominees will have significantly advanced the field of cardiac rehabilitation and prevention through clinical practice, research, education and knowledge transfer, and/or advocacy. Please consider the efforts of your colleagues and nominate individuals who exhibit outstanding leadership or contributions to CACR and/or cardiac rehabilitation locally, regionally, provincially and/or nationally. All nominees and nominators must be CACR members. There will be one award in each of the following four categories:

Canadian Cardiac Rehab Registry Webinars now available! The Canadian Cardiac Rehab Registry (CCRR) is an online database used to track patient information in Cardiac Rehabilitation programs across Canada. The CACR's goals in launching a national cardiac rehabilitation registry are three-fold:

Walk of Life for Cardiac Rehabilitation
2011 WALK OF LIFERaise funds in your cardiac rehabilitation program and use them to support continuing education for staff ie. to attend CACR conference, CACR webinars, purchase Guidelines, patient materials, class set of Polar heart rate monitors, etc. The Walk of Life for Cardiac Rehabilitation is gaining momentum. This fundraising event is open to cardiac rehabilitation programs with at least one CACR member. All Walk events are community based and organized locally with assistance from the Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada. Most importantly, all funds raised in the local community stay with the local program. The Walk of Life is a joint effort between the CACR and the CHFC. All participating programs retain all locally raised sponsorship and registrations and receive a share of the national sponsorship based on participation numbers (some programs receive $15,000 or more annually).
