Brief Description:
Several members of CACR secured funding to work towards harmonizing messaging around cardiac rehabilitation (CR) across Canada and the world. This included consensus regarding what constitutes CR and prevention, who and how patients should have access to CR, how CR is structured, and what we need to establish CR as an obligatory service.
This webinar will: (1) discuss the development of the Global Charter on CR (see: www.globalcardiacrehab.com), (2) consider and communicate on¬going consensus on evidence-based standards for cardiac rehabilitation, (3) solicit input from CACR members on how to maintain and grow this global consortium through partnership with international organizations, and (4) to discuss how CR programs and organizations in Canada could partner and collaborate with those in low-to-middle income countries to support capacity-building and provide tangible tools for cardiac rehabilitation program development, initiation and maintenance.
